One startup is selected when the draw closes
The winner is selected by an auditable weighted random draw. More tickets improve your chance — every valid entry can win.

The winner becomes the homepage King
The King takes the homepage hero for the full crown period, plus a public winner page and Hall of Kings listing.
Tickets and bonuses
- £1 = 1 ticket. Whole pounds only.
- Welcome Tickets: your startup's first successful entry ever earns +10 Welcome Tickets. Once per startup, across all rounds, awarded only after verified payment. No cash value, no transfer, no rollover.
- £50+ Entry Bonus: a single successful entry of £50 or more earns +25 Entry Bonus Tickets. One bonus per startup per round — multiple £50 entries don't stack.
- Champion Carry: the reigning King starts the next round with 10% of their final tickets (capped at 100). It applies to the immediately following round only and does not stack.
Your chance
Your chance is simply your startup's tickets ÷ total active tickets in the draw. It changes while the draw remains open as other challengers enter. Ticket totals improve chance but do not guarantee the Crown — every valid entry can win.
Checking a result
Every draw uses a pre-committed server seed: the seed's SHA-256 hash is published before the round opens, and the seed itself is revealed when the round resolves. Each resolved round page shows every input — seed, nonce, ticket ranges and total — so anyone can reproduce the winning ticket independently. Nobody, including admins, can pick a winner.
Eligibility and promotion terms
- Entries must be for a real product or startup with a working public website.
- Startups may be reviewed for moderation; entries that break the rules can be voided and refunded.
- Bonus tickets have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or rolled over.
- One Welcome bonus per startup lifetime; one £50+ Entry Bonus per startup per round.
- The winner receives homepage visibility, a public winner page, a Hall of Kings listing and private performance reporting — no cash prize.
